The Moose in the Room: Insight into Canadian Debt and Deleveraging Scenarios
BCG examined data from 18 countries over the past 50 years with the goal of addressing one key question: if Canada were to experience a major deleveraging shock, what would it look like and how could Canadian companies prepare?
From a design perspective, we aimed to communicate the significance of the consumer debt crisis in Canada. We connected data with an emotional topic by presenting facts, predications, and recommendations in a visually-compelling digital piece.
Concept: The Canadian Dollar
Canada’s economy is historically strong and the Canadian dollar represents the country’s economic success, global status, and high quality of life. This concept uses the colors and textures of printed money to visualize Canada’s potential to clear the hurdle of consumer debt. With strategic preparation, the country will preserve the economic freedom, quality of life, and education built on the Canadian dollar.

Final design
After the pitch, our client asked to Frankenstein the two concepts. We used the inspiration of currency from the first concept and photography from the second concept to build the final piece.
